Training courses

Freeze drying requires understanding and control of a number of different processes simultaneously. The difference between success and failure can be only a couple of degrees or a few minutes.

In Depth Training in Freeze Drying Technology

Together with our sister company BTL, we provide training courses in freeze drying technology, science and practice.

BTL were set up to specifically to provide services in freeze drying including laboratory services and training courses, which have been running since 1997. These courses are designed to bring together the scientific theory with real-life examples and the practical knowledge from experts with many years of direct experience with industry. As well as gaining deep understanding of the science of freeze drying, delegates should leave the course with an understanding of how to apply this knowledge practically in their own work, to improve a product’s stability, gain better batch success rates, or improve plant efficiency.

Freeze Drying: Product and Process

At our premises here in Winchester we provide 2-day courses in Freeze Drying: Product and Process. These are practical two-day courses covering the science and application of freeze drying.

This course delivers an up-to-date overview of the science of freeze drying and practical insights into the techniques that underpin cycle development and formulation development strategies. It is suitable for those involved in all stages of freeze drying formulation and cycle development and scale-up, including researchers, technicians, formulation scientists and quality control officers.

These courses run between 4-6 times a year, depending on demand. >>More information

Comprehensive Courses

Our “comprehensive” courses are three-day seminars that cover the science and application of freeze drying. These are the most popular of our courses and are tailored to practising professionals that are developing freeze dried formulations, or are involved in process scale up or full production and product QA/QC.  Attendees are generally working in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and high value process industries. Courses are held regularly in Amsterdam, California and Florida. >>More information
