Vacuum concentrators

Concentration can be a tedious laboratory procedure, so the miVac features several innovations designed to speed up concentration times.
The miVac SpeedTrap is radically different from traditional cold traps. The cold condenser coils are suspended directly in the vapour path, enabling the condensed solvent to run off into the jug without freezing and causing a decline in the condensing power of the coils. This method is highly efficient, providing more than twice the condensing power of similar systems, and much easier to use.
The other driving force behind concentration is temperature. Even products which do not require heat to start the evaporation process may need heat input as the evaporation causes the product to cool. miVac’s JetRotors are made of solid aluminium to conduct heat quickly and uniformly for optimal heat transfer. To increase the effect of air as a heat transfer medium, built-in Concentration Methods introduce air into the chamber in a controlled manner ensuring the process is optimised.
miVac centrifugal concentrators are capable of removing water and organic solvents from a range of samples in areas including ADME / toxicology, polymer chemistry, food science and agrochemical research.
